7th Students Educational Research Forum
The College of Education at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) organized the 7th Students Educational Research Forum at UAEU campus, Al Ain. The Forum follows the vision of the University to provide distinguished education based on the development, distribution and contribution of knowledge to better serve the needs of the community, following the same vision of H.H. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Chancellor of UAEU.
H.E. Shiekh Salem Bin Rakhadh Al Ameri, Member at the Federal National Council, attended the Forum and indicated that his participation in the research forum supports the partnership among different community sectors to develop the services provided to the community and strengthen communications.
H.E. stressed the pivotal role UAEU plays in serving the community and the College of Education in particular, providing the community with exceptionally qualified teachers and that these forums further enhance the students qualifications.
Dr. Ali Al Kaabi, Vice Dean of Education said, "The importance of research and developing students skills are top priorities of the College and University. In support of this, the College of Education developed an Educational Research Course which is offered to all students in order to assist them in developing the skills for scientific research".
Dr. Najwa Al Hosani, Assistant Dean for Students Affairs & Alumni Support and member of the Forum Committee, further explained the important role this Forum has played since its first edition, seven years ago, and said "UAEU as a research institute of excellence of both national and international significance, can provide a strong base of distinguished expertise who have the knowhow and can work effectively in today's changing world and under the comprehensive development of the UAE. The progression of educational organizations in general and the higher education in particular is measured by the ability to provide scientific research platforms that meet the needs of the development and growth stages in all aspects. We, at College of Education, and through this annual Forum continue in our efforts to develop a distinct foundation of student researchers by encouraging them to conduct, participate, support and facilitate research events and publications. We also seek to develop research partnerships and cooperation with community educational organizations involved with research."
Joint 1st place for the best research went to Ms. Mira Al Dahmani and Ms. Mona Rashid, 2nd place, Ms.Fatima Mohamed Ahmed Al Hafeeti and 3rd place, Ms. Badriya Sultan Al Yamahi and Ms. Basma Al Hajri. Dr. Ali Al Kaabi, Vice Dean, and Dr. Najwa Al Hosani honored the winners in addition to all the researchers that participated in the Forum.
