The EJFA was founded in 1989 by the CFA and its continued success and growth can be attributed to a team of devoted faculty and staff members from CFA along with an international editorial board who are passionate about this field of study. The journal has a national and international readership, and publishes refereed contributions from authors across the globe and therefore supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

EJFA is devoted to sharing original basic and applied research articles in the fields of Food Science & Technology, Agricultural Sciences (Plant Production & Protection, and Animal Sciences), Human Nutrition, Agribusiness, Consumer Sciences and the Environment. Interdisciplinary articles in the fields of food, agriculture and environment are welcome.

The EJFA is published in both print and online form and is available free of charge as open access through the website www.ejfa.info. EJFA is having well maintained Article submission, peer review and tracking system in its online platform. Hard copies of the publication are also distributed to various libraries all over the world.

The main aim of the journal is to publish high-quality, peer-reviewed papers that relate to Food and Agriculture. The journal's editorial policy is to favour contributions which will be of interest to a wide cross-section of its readership - contributions which, if specialised, nevertheless serve to bring out matters of broader interest or importance within their specialisation.

“I am continually impressed by the dedication and the quality of work of the editorial board that goes into the EJFA. This is yet another example of the exceptional milestone achieved by CFA and has helped to build upon the reputation of the university as a leading research institution,” said Professor Ghaleb Ali Alhadrami, Dean of the College of Food and Agriculture, UAEU. “I really want this to be something that is sustained for years to come. The editorial board has been restructured to keep improving the quality and ranking of the Journal,” he added.

This year will be the Silver Jubilee year for EJFA and there are plans to publish special issues, one of which will include camel research.
