UAEU Honours Support Staff as Part of ‘Thank You’ Campaign

Under the generous directive of H.H. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, UAEU Chancellor and in response to the “Thank You” campaign launched by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to mark the seventh anniversary of his Accession Day, the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) honoured three of its longest serving employees of general labour staff who have been working at the University since its establishment in 1977.

Dr. Ali Rashid Al Noaimi, UAEU Vice Chancellor honored the three employees (Chaneliparamabil Majeed, Veleri Kutty and  Velliyath Mammutty)  and commented, "We are inspired by this noble and generous gesture of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and how he continues to embrace all who live in this homeland. H.H. never forgets those who give, devote and strive in their efforts to develop the UAE. Through this initiative, we witness today the vision of His Highness to consolidate the meanings of love, loyalty and care towards our employees".

"As part of this initiative, we stand here today to honour our brothers and our colleagues. We should not forget that this initiative is derived from our religion and that the UAE ruler is following the words of the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) saying, ‘Those who do not thank people, they do not thank Allah’. I acknowledge these staff who act as excellent role models in their loyalty, service and distinguish in work that they provide”, he added.

The honoured employees conveyed their gratitude to the sponsor of this initiative asking Allah (Almighty) to save him. They also expressed their appreciation to H.H. Chancellor of UAEU and the senior management of the University for their continuous support and effort in providing an excellent working environment in which to conduct their duties. They wished prosperity for the UAE and its people.
