UAEU Supports Technical Training for UAE Nationals
Mubadala Aerospace has signed an AED 4.9 million agreement with United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) to provide training for Emirati technicians to work at Strata’s manufacturing plant.
The new training initiative is delivered by professional trainers from Lockheed Martin and resulted in the employment of 95 Emirati trainees in the past two years at Strata in Al Ain.
In the presence of H.H. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chancellor of UAEU, and H.E. Khaldoon Al Mubarak, CEO of Mubadala Development Company, the agreement was signed by H.E. Homaid Al Shemmari, Executive Director of Mubadala Aerospace, and Dr. Ali Rashid Al Noaimi, UAEU Vice Chancellor, during the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) held in Abu Dhabi from the 17th -21st February 2013.
H.H. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, UAEU Chancellor, assured that the partnership of UAEU with different organizations and authorities inside and outside UAE has resulted in noteworthy developments which are aligned with the overall development programs and strategies of UAE.
